Oil Paintings by Chris R Cornett

I am a Modern, Post-Modern, Abstract/Expressionistic, Painter working primarily with oils. I believe that my work is the coalescence of my view of the world through a reflective artistic lens which represents the memories and present thoughts of my cumulative being. My work should be viewed in a way that allows the viewer to interpret and apply their own perspectives to the work in a way that one would view any new personal discovery. The artwork should then be allowed to transcend beyond the visual and in part become dependent upon the abstract interaction of the work created and the viewer’s interpretation by the concurrent manner of their own introspective processes.
